St. Petersburg, Russia, 1991-2024, went from oppression to freedom and then back again. The class will explore the forces and factors that contributed to this shift within a thirty-year period and the reaction of the populace with acceptance and/or pushback.
Bob Kunzinger
Bob Kunzinger is the author of 12 books, including three about Russia: Out of Nowhere: Scenes from St. Petersburg, Meanwhile in Leningrad, and the critically acclaimed The Iron Scar: A Father and Son in Siberia. He has taught writing, arts, and humanities in Hampton Roads since 1989.
