Recognizing Frauds and Scams

The speaker will present information about the various types of fraud. The presentation is geared towards the senior community. The types of fraud are government types, dating scams, grandparents' scams and lottery, etc. Solutions are offered on how best to determine if you are being scammed and what to do.

Dorothy Ware

Dorothy Ware retired in 2016 after 35 years in the insurance industry. She handled civil lawsuits involving workers compensation, auto, homeowners and various other claims. She has been a volunteer with AARP since 2019. Dorothy has been a member of Toastmasters International since 2003 and is a Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). She is also a life member of the NAACP, and is the mother of 3 children, grandmother of 7 and great grandmother to 5.
