A Different Kind of Healing: Horse Therapy

Class - In Person & Zoom | Available (Membership Required)

Special Warfare (SEALS, SWCC, EOD) warriors deal with extraordinary pressures that often result in PTSD, anxiety, and other medical conditions. This presentation covers the use of horse-assisted therapy used at Hold The Reins (HTR). At HTR horses teach warriors to feel again, where silence is broken not by words but by the soft breath of a horse, the rhythm of their hooves, and the honest, immediate feedback they provide totally without judgement. Included in this discussion is the testimonial of a retired SEAL with an impressive resume who recovered from massive brain injury and is now a successful student ot Harvard.

Michael Hall

Michael Hall is the founder of HTR who spent his career as a U.S. Navy Seal and recognized a need to establish early intervention to reduce suicide and divorce rates in the Special Warfare Community. He retired in 2025 after 20 years of service and over 350 high-risk, direct-action operations worldwide. Mike envisioned Hold The Reins as a sanctuary where service members could safely reconnect with themselves and their families.
