Zwerner v. Parker - A Glimpse into American Tort Law

Class - In Person & Zoom | Available (Membership Required)

In 2023, the region was shocked when Newport News first grade teacher Abby Zwerner was
shot by a 6-year-old student. Zwerner has since won a $10 million verdict against assistant principal Ebony Parker.
Using the case as a backdrop, this session will introduce students to U. S. tort law and the many ways it touches our
lives.
