Western Civilization: Scientific Revolution with Carol McCavitt (Tuesday In Person Only) Fall 2026

This semester we will continue with the Scientific Revolution. A more detailed description will be added closer to registration date.
Carol McCavitt – MS Queens College, Carnegie-Mellon University PhD Studies
- Participants are encouraged to find an older copy of R.R. Palmer’s textbook A History of the Modern World. Copies printed in 2007 to 2012 can be purchased online for less than $20. While the book is not a requirement, it can add to your experience.
Carol McCavitt
Carol McCavitt has been teaching for SPARK since 2009. Before moving to Kansas City, Carol was a high school teacher on Long Island, where she taught Advanced Placement European History for 20 years. Educated as an undergraduate at SUNY at Stony Brook, Carol completed her Masters Degree at Queens College in NYC and did her doctoral work at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
