You are committing to participate in the Wednesday class via Zoom from your own device. We will not have an in-person seat in the classroom available for you.
This semester we will continue where our Summer 2026 class left off. A more detailed description will be added closer to registration.
- Participants are encouraged to find an older copy of R.R. Palmer’s textbook A History of the Modern World. Copies printed in 2007 to 2012 can be purchased online for less than $20. While the book is not a requirement, it can add to your experience.
Carol McCavitt
Carol McCavitt has been teaching for SPARK since 2009. Before moving to Kansas City, Carol was a high school teacher on Long Island, where she taught Advanced Placement European History for 20 years. Educated as an undergraduate at SUNY at Stony Brook, Carol completed her Masters Degree at Queens College in NYC and did her doctoral work at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
