UMKC Volker Campus Art Walk Tour with Chris Wolff

Ever wonder about the amazing pieces of public art at UMKC? On this hour-long, ½ mile art walk, we will learn the history of the amazing sculptures, murals and architectural oddities that help make the Volker Campus one of the most beautiful spots in the city. From masterpieces of European painters to works by contemporary Kansas City artists, UMKC has art that can rival any campus in the country.
Meeting Place: We will meet outside of the south entrance to the Atterbury Success Center, 5000 Holmes St., Kansas City, MO.
UMKC parking is available in the lot to the north of the building. Your tour fee will include a virtual parking permit for that lot. You must claim the permit for it to be valid and to avoid receiving a parking ticket. The permit will only be valid on October 16.

Chris Wolff
Chris Wolff (M.A. ’12) is the author of A Pearl of Great Value: The History of UMKC, Kansas City’s University and serves as the general merchandise manager at the UMKC Bookstore. He is known for researching and presenting the history of the University of Missouri-Kansas City, including creating a campus history tour video series. Chris also provides campus walking tours to groups such as the UMKC Alumni, SPARK and other UMKC stakeholders.
