The Right Meds at the Right Time: End of Life Care

Class | Registration opens 8/21/2026 8:58 AM EDT

Medications play an important role in promoting comfort and quality of life during serious illness and at the end of life. In this informative and compassionate session, participants will learn about common medications used to manage symptoms such as pain, anxiety, and breathing changes. We will explore how these medications work and their effects on the mind, body, and spirit. Designed for older adults and their families, this presentation offers clear, practical information to help individuals feel more informed and confident when navigating end-of-life care. Questions and open discussion are encouraged.
Dawn Gramling, LISW, will be joined by Kelly Chany, RN, MSN, MPH who brings over 10 years of clinical experience across multiple hospital units and outpatient settings. Kelly’s work in leadership, process improvement, and professional development led her to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, where she serves as a Hospice Educator. She is passionate about educating others and sharing her knowledge and experience to support compassionate end-of-life care.
