The Great Lakes are one of the world’s most vital natural resources—and home to thousands of years of powerful human stories. The National Museum of the Great Lakes preserves, shares, and celebrates those stories through immersive exhibits, hands-on experiences, and dynamic programming that bring history to life.
Join us for a special tour of the museum’s 500+ artifacts, engaging interactives, and powerful stories across nine exhibit galleries—including Currents of Change, a temporary exhibit about the changing ecology of the Great Lakes. After our guided tour, attendees will be free to roam on their own to shop in the museum store and/or explore the 617-foot Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship (some may remember it as the Willis B. Boyer) and the historic Museum Tug Ohio for a one-of-a-kind, on-the-water experience.
*** NOTE: The ships are historical artifacts and therefore not ADA-compliant. Attendees wishing to explore these artifacts will need to climb stairs to enter them.
