For over six years, the I-475 Neighborhoods Coalition has been working to stop ODOT’s planned widening project in West Toledo and Sylvania Township. Come hear the coalition’s perspective on how this project, if carried out, would impact the surrounding communities. Peggy Daly-Masternak has been the Coordinator for the I-475 Neighborhoods Coalition from its beginning in 2020. She will discuss the costs of the proposed expansion, the scientific evidence on the health impacts of highways, and the benefits of highway alternatives that are being employed by other cities.
