Eugene V. Debs, Still Speaking To & For Working People: A Special Performance by Keith Rasey
Performance | Registration opens 8/31/2026 8:58 AM EDT
Registration deadline: Sep. 3rd
An objective measure of income inequality has increased from its historic level of 40% in 1975 to 48% in 2024—an increase of 20%. This ranks the U.S., with its vaunted free enterprise system, as similar to the Congo or Haiti or Turkmenistan.
Eugene V. Debs remains a symbol of courage, solidarity, and the fight for economic justice. His ideas continue to influence labor movements, civil liberties debates, and progressive politics today. Debs evolved to the determined realization that labor had to demand more equality in the marketplace, in the judiciary and in the work environment to have enough.
Join us for a special performance as Keith Rasey brings Eugene V. Debs to life. Keith has 50 years of stage and screen experience mostly concentrating on justice and equity concerns such as “Anne Frank,” “Maafa,” “Statements After an Arrest Under the Immorality Act,” and “An Enemy of the People,” to name a few. He is a grad of Eastern Michigan, Yale and Kent State Universities.
